On-site Training General Requirements

  • On-site workshops must be set up at least 45 days in advance of the training date. Workshops may be cancelled up to 30 days before the workshop, with a full refund given. Thereafter, there are no cancellations/refunds.
  • The customer must provide a site which includes a training room for hands-on activities and access to no fewer than one computer per 2 attendees, which adhere to the JASON technical requirements.
  • The customer must identify a site contact that JASON Staff and Trainers may work with to establish logistics for the session.
  • One day prior to the training session, the customer will allow access to the JASON Lead Trainer for set-up.
  • At least one hour prior to the session, access will be given to the JASON Lead Trainer.

 

On-site Training Technology Requirements
  • High-speed Internet access
  • A presentation computer connected to an LCD projector
  • A minimum of one computer per partner pair; preference is one computer per attendee
  • Ability to log in to the school's network as a teacher
  • Firewall permissions that will let www.jason.org and extensions through, including instructional videos
  • Access to DVD/VHS player either connected to a TV or LCD projector
  • Attendees must have a DSL, cable modem, ISDN or faster Internet connection.
  • Attendee computer displays must be set to at least 1024 x 768 pixels

In advance of the training you also will need to ensure the following plug-ins are installed: QuickTime, Flash, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Real One Player. Visit our Plug-Ins section for links to download.

Minimum Computer Requirements
Windows
  • Windows 2000, XP or
  • 256 MB RAM or more recommended
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or higher (IE 7 or higher for best experience), or Firefox 1.5 or higher
  • JavaScript and cookies enabled in the browser

Mac OS X:

  • Mac OS 10.2 or later
  • 256 MB RAM or more recommended
  • Firefox 1.5 or higher, or Safari 2 or higher
  • JavaScript and cookies enabled in the browser

Web Conferencing Attendee Requirements

  • Course participants a DSL, cable modem, ISDN or faster Internet connection.
  • Participant computer displays must be set at 1024 X 768 pixels.
  • In advance of the course you also will need to ensure the following plug-ins are installed: QuickTime, Flash, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Optimization

The JASON Project Web site is optimized for a 1028 x 768 pixel screen resolution and for the following browser versions: Internet Explorer (7.0 or higher), Firefox (2.0 or higher), or Safari (3 or higher). Earlier browser versions may not display optimally onscreen and may not run some enhanced features of the site. Cookies and JavaScript must both be enabled in your browser.


Plug-Ins

Plug-ins are software programs that extend the capabilities of your Web browser, giving you the ability to perform special functions using your browser; for example, view videos and play audio. Plug-ins provide attendees with hands-on experiences. In order to secure a successful training, it is critical to download and test all plug-ins prior to the training session.

Utilities

These free utilities are available for those who do not have Microsoft Office or WinZip software
