JASON Lead Trainers:
The JASON Project selects top science educators to become certified as Lead Trainers. After completing an extensive Lead Trainer program in science, professional development and the JASON curriculum, these experts are sent around the world by JASON to prepare their colleagues to implement JASON in the classroom.
Meet JASON's Lead Trainers now!
JASON Lead Trainers receive:
- In-depth JASON training through a special Lead Trainer Seminar hosted at JASON headquarters in Ashburn, Va., outside Washington, D.C. JASON pays all travel and lodging expenses associated with the training. Attendees also receive a certificate which may be used to obtain Continuing Education Units.
- A competitive, per-training stipend for delivering top-quality professional development to fellow educators. JASON pays all travel and expenses associated with delivering training.
- Membership in an elite network of educators, training professionals, JASON Project staff and resources.
- The excitement and fulfillment of working with colleagues to have a lasting impact on science education!
JASON Field Trainers:
Teachers who successfully complete a JASON Train-the-Trainer seminar are certified as Field Trainers and may deliver professional development for their local schools, districts or organizations. While not directly managed by JASON staff, they are thoroughly trained on JASON's standards for professional development and receive resources and ongoing support from the JASON organization.
After attending a JASON Train-the Trainer workshop, a Field Trainer receives:
-
Comprehensive training resources, including agendas, PowerPoints, videos, handouts, and Trainer Talking Points.
- Access to JASON's online roster and survey tools, which allow them to obtain valuable data and feedback on their sessions.
- Membership in a worldwide community of educators, working to implement JASON to improve student learning.
- Support from JASON Professional Development staff as they plan and conduct their workshops.
