Jennifer caught the science bug early in her career and decided to switch from language arts to science. She began this journey when she volunteered at a local museum's live animal exhibit. Her interest in science began to grow and eventually led to her completing a master’s degree in science education. Today she is a science teacher and working with her school district to implement more hands-on and lab-based science activities including JASON. Jennifer also has led student experiences that included snorkeling and swimming in the Florida Keys.
Jennifer has proved to be very passionate about being involved in her community. She worked with her local Kiwanis club to implement a builder’s club which has raised thousands of dollars for cancer research, built play ground equipment, and performed clothing drives for those in need.
