From Australia, the land down under, Jodi brings a passion and sense of wonder to her mission experiences. Jodi has built her career around finding the best opportunities to spark students’ interest in their studies, especially science. Jodi is currently working on a certificate in gifted education. Also, Jodi is an avid presenter and writer. She has traveled throughout Australia and to New Zealand to advocate for programs and projects she has implemented in her classroom.
While not teaching gifted students and science, she is deeply involved in conservation education and several programs in Australia that encourage outdoor skills for students, like the Duke of Edinburgh Programme and The Great Aussie Bush Camp. Jodi has brought together her passion for science and outdoor education by participating in Project Aware - a program that teaches students about coastal environmental issues - and has taken her students snorkeling so they may see firsthand humanity’s impact on coral reefs and sea grass beds.
