With 25 years of teaching experience, Cindy embraces new opportunities to learn at every step. Having taught Language Arts to students for 15 years, Cindy applied to be a gifted and talented teacher for her school district. Providing these services, Cindy developed an interest and passion for science, especially for introducing students to scientific research. She sought out programs all across the country that would introduce her to scientists actively pursuing research and found JASON.

Cindy has a lot of energy. Each week she travels to five schools within her district to provide gifted and talented services to her students. She encourages her students to take risks and explore. The students in her district participate in many national and international competitions in science, math, and other areas. But Cindy does not slow down after school, she likes to travel, is an avid skier, and is learning how to SCUBA dive.
