Pop-up

A pop-up is a listening device created and fabricated by Cornell University’s Bioacoustics Research Program. It is used to detect and store information about local underwater sounds. Positioned above the sea bottom, it records acoustic data onto a local hard disk. After several months, the pop-up is retrieved and the disk’s data analyzed.
