  • Download and copy concept maps from the JASON Mission Center.
  • Download and copy the Post-test with answer key.
  • Make sure all Internet connections are functional.
  • Investigate the links provided with Weather Events in Your Area on page 47 of the teacher’s edition.

  • Ask students to give brief presentations of what they learned in the Mission Challenge. Invite peers to critique the work of their fellow classmates.
  • Discuss the strengths and limitations of the models they used to study the methods used by Robbie Hood.
  • Discuss their responses to the JASON Journal prompt on page 45 of the student edition.

Administer the Post-test for Mission 2, either using the PDF format found in Teacher Resources online or the resources in the Assessment Center. Return concept maps that were done at the beginning of the mission. Distribute new copies and have students reflect on what they have learned by completing a second version. (See Concept Mapping on page 43 of the teacher’s edition.) Invite students to share the new insights they have learned during Mission 2.
