- Download and copy concept maps.
- Download and copy the pre-test with answer key.
- Make sure all Internet connections are functional.
- Set up a projector to watch the Meet the Researcher video.
- Print the video guiding questions for easy access during the video.

Have the students complete the concept map for Mission 2. A brief overview of concept mapping is found online at the JASON Mission Center. Additionally, graphic organizers have been provided for you to use to complete the concept maps, if you wish. |

Teach |
|

|
- Administer the Pre-test for Mission 2, either using the PDF format found in Teacher Resources online or the resources in the Assessment Center.
- Show the students the Meet the Researcher video about Robbie Hood while completing the guiding questions. Then, have students reflect on Robbie’s role by completing the JASON Journal question on page 26 of the teacher’s edition.
- Next, have students read the Your Mission section on page 27 of the student edition.
- Discuss words in the section that students seem unsure about, as described on page 27 of the teacher’s edition.
- Additionally, if your students have not have not yet seen it, have them watch the Join the Argonaut Adventure Video and explore the Join the Team section online.
