Megan Shaffer likes to study Marine Biology. Her interest peaked in the subject after a snorkeling trip, where she observed fish, plants, and a coral reef. As a ninth-grader at Elizabeth Seton High School in Bladensburg, Maryland, she displays leadership and organizational skills in the classroom that will be beneficial to her as a Student Argonaut.

 

Megan is a well-rounded student who sharpens her science skills by participating in science camps during the summer. At school she expands her interests by being active in student government and playing on the softball, basketball and soccer teams.
