Dedication is a word that best describes Hillary Renz. This ninth-grade student at Sisters High School in Oregon is fascinated with the marvels of DNA. Hillary believes her personality is one of the most important components she will bring to this JASON Expedition. During the expedition she expects to interact with other people to create better teams and solve problems together.

This hard-working student is involved in numerous extracurricular activities. She is active in student council; Sparrow Club, where she adopted a child in need of financial assistance for medical concerns; softball; volleyball; Science Club; and Honor Band, which is comprised of the top players in Central Oregon.
