A ninth-grader at Josephine Dobbs Clement Early College High School on the campus of North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina, Anabel Hernandez has an interest in engineering and its relationship with science and technology. She considers her opportunity with the JASON Project a unique life experience and sees it as a chance to learn new things and help other people.

 

Participating in extracurricular activities keeps Anabel busy. She has volunteered at the Centro Hispano, helping young children at day camp, and has been involved with the Junior National Young Leaders Conference, United States Academy Achievement and Creative Communications.
