A ninth-grade student at Henry Viscardi School in Albertson, New York, Alexander Garret, has interests spanning many categories. Life Science is his favorite area of science, but he is also very interested in Mathematics and Social Studies. He is an outgoing student who will use his imagination and enthusiasm to contribute to the expedition.
Alexander uses his own special talents to benefit others. He has been a junior spokesperson for Variety, The Children's Charity, in New York City. Since 1999, Alexander had been a TV spokesperson for his school on the Variety Telethon and last year was represented on the student council.
He participates in sports and recreational activities, including Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged, held annually on Long Island, and children's races with the New York Road Runners Club.
