Can you imagine living to be 80 years old or more? Think about everything you can accomplish in a lifetime. Now, imagine the events that can happen over a thousand years, a million years, or even a billion years. Within Earth’s 4.5 billion year history, the amount of time humans have existed–approximately 190,000 years–is just a tiny part, and the lifetime of a human–80 years–doesn’t even register! Visualizing time isn’t easy, but what would it look like if you could see Earth’s history unfold before you on a timeline?
