Mission 3: Analyzing the Evidence

In this Mission, you will journey through geologic time with Dr. George Guthrie. Using fossils and technology, you will learn how scientists have constructed the story behind Earth's long history.

To accomplish your mission successfully, you will need to

  • Apply different dating methods to calculate the age of Earth.
  • Assess the impact of technology on our understanding of Earth’s history.
  • Examine fossils to investigate how life and environmental conditions have changed over time.
  • Analyze rock and fossil evidence to construct a story detailing Earth’s past.
  • Apply an understanding of Earth’s history to help address environmental concerns.
